Original Story Board Tech Workshop

Adapt to advance tech

Open on PCCW Quadplay device. A sign above a door reads ‘Learning to love the Future Workshop/Tonight’. Inside, several people are sitting in a circle. They look like retro 60’s hippies, archeologists, country bumpkins…etc. There’s a PCCW broadband terminal sitting on a table in the middle. Everyone gathers around it.

Tutor Don’t worry. Just try not to see it as new technology…(the attendees begin to mutter amongst themselves)
Tutor Actually, it’s just like a television…(Gasps from some)
Tutor Ok, just relax. You push this button here, and…there we are. Live English Premier League. (the group lean closer, amazed)
Tutor And you can listen to music, look at photos, or watch short video clips
Tutor Pay all your bills, and even buy tickets…(They pull back in astonishment)
Tutor Ok, ok. Calm down, keep cool. It’s alright, you don’t need to worry about any wiring or anything. (They draw nearer again, curious)
Tutor You see? You can even use it just to make calls. It’s as easy as that…

One attendee nervously reaches forward to touch it. The rest gasp in anticipation. The menu appears on screen and they burst into applause. They all reach forwards to get their hands on it.

MVO: PCCW fixed line now brings you the eye. Open your eyes to the whole world. Call 2888 1888 to find out more.
